More on what E did today

RELIGION
Our first formal lesson in our Faith. I copied the first page of Baha'i Children's Workbook and am keeping it as a reproducible mastercopy so that we can repeat and review lessons over time. E is not too fond of coloring hence the results you see in the pic. :-) We will be exploring all the major religions of the world as we go along.
ZOOLOGY
Working on the parts of the horse puzzle.

The Gund horse that E is 'riding' helped a lot in the process of learning the parts of the horse as it provided a tangible three-dimensional representative where one can show the child, e.g. the nostrils on both sides of the muzzle, etc.

Working on The Mammal 3-part cards (Part 1)

The horse represents the mammal and it has many parts so it helps to break them into two parts.

MATH/WRITING
Practicing numeral writing (Print) - sheet printed off http://www.montessoriforeveryone.com/

E spent time watching some DK Eyewitness videos on Jungle and Skeleton today. Then we did some fact cards on many dinosaurs which is part of an old and fantastic sorted fact card collection on all the types of animals both existent and extinct. It's called Illustrated Wildlife Treasury. Comes in a plastic green box for easy storage.
