Hand-Print Animal Art , etc.

ART

Using palm, pinky finger, side of finger, thumb print and length of fingers, E painted some animals today. What became of this hand-print?
An eagle! E used a marker pen to complete it and gave it some food at the side. LOL! (Somehow he's always concerned about feeding his animals.....:-) You'll see food again in the next piece of art from him.

What's this?

A parrot with food!
ZOOLOGY
I found some shell cards from my resource pile and so E and I worked with them today.
  • We read the name of each shell and talked about how they are alike and different - colors, shapes and patterns on shell
  • Talked about which one he liked best and I liked best.
  • Introduce new vocabulary. Features: spire, oval, scalloped, knobs, grooves. We have some shell at home to assist in the sensorial aspect of this lesson.
