This a.m. we started the day by playing tic-tac-toe with them. Each time E stamps (with a strategy to win, of course) he would sound out the alphabet (a hidden review/reinforcement exercise for him as he already knows them). No coaxing required. We played with upper and lower of the same alphabet, then mixed up the alphabets (two of any kind), etc. He also drew the frames for us to play tic-tac-toe. Can do the same with the numbered ones. One can also purchase different colored stamp ink pads to add to the novelty of it all.
Yesterday was a more intensive day with these superb alphabet stamps. E did his Lang. Arts 3 part cards and then used his moveable alphabets to form the words he chose (labels only so as not to have pics to clue him in on the words), after which, he stamped the words and finally he handwrote the words and each time he would say the words and sound the letters out. Great for word-building, sentence building, etc.
A perfect tool for your little one's writing/reading center. A fun, totally affordable must-have.
