This spring, we decided to cut back our expenditure on plants. We have been successfully transplanting baby plants and dividing those that were spreading too far out from their specified boundaries as determined by us. Last year, we did not get a visual feast as we are this time around and one of them is our various irises popping up from the ground like unexpected gifts since we've actually forgotten where we had planted them last. We've also been blessed by plants and bulbs given by friends who have too much of a good thing. They were only too happy to plop them into our hands. We were only too happy to be the lucky recipents of their bounty. (Pics were unfortunately taken after a heavy storm hence the beaten down petals...........)
